Regional Market Snapshot for November 20, 2011

Let’s take a look at how the average sales price of homes has changed from last year at this time to today.  

On November 21, 2010, here were the average sales prices for the past 30 days in the following markets:

  • Greater Louisville area: $181,488
  • Southern Indiana area: $135,198
  • Etown/Ft. Knox area: $143,112

This year, the statistics from November 20, 2011 show the average sales price of properties from the past 30 days in the same markets:

  • Greater Louisville area: $166,266
  • Southern Indiana area: $132,239
  • Etown/Ft. Knox area: $129,952

Regional Market Snapshot for 6/26/11

We can take a look at what homes have sold for in the past  30 days and get an idea of how real estate is moving in our area.  For instance, one of the statistics presented on the Regional Market Snapshot is Sales Price vs. List Price.  This number is calculated by dividing the average sales price into the average list price of the units sold.  Here are the sales prices versus list prices of homes sold in the last 30 days in each of our real estate markets:

  • Greater Louisville Area: 95.0%
  • Southern Indiana Area: 95.8%
  • Etown/Ft. Knox Area: 96.9%

Here is some information from this week’s snapshot.

 

This is how many active listings buyers can choose from in each of our three local markets:

  • Greater Louisville area: 9,592 active residential listings currently on the market 
  • Southern Indiana area: 2,461 active residential listings currently on the market 
  • Etown/Ft. Knox area: 1,428 active residential listings currently on the market
