Regional Market Snapshot for December 4, 2011

Things change over time.  Even over a period of days.  And especially over the course of a year.  

Let’s take a look at what has transpired over the last 12 months in real estate.  The statistics below include Louisville homes, Oldham County real estate, Sellersburg homes for sale, Elizabethtown real estate and the like.

In the last year:

  • The number of properties sold in the Greater Louisville area was 10,806.
  • The number of properties sold in the Southern Indiana area was 2,511.
  • The number of properties sold in the Elizabethtown/Ft. Knox area was 1,648.

In the last year:

  • The average days properties in the Greater Louisville area spent on the market before being sold was 87 days.
  • The average days properties in the Southern Indiana area spent on the market before being sold was 114 days.
  • The average days properties in the Etown/Ft. Knox area spent on the market before being sold was 145 days.
